dataloft infographic showing a swell in buyer demand

The property market continues to ride the wave as we head into autumn. Buyer demand per property is more than double pre-pandemic levels. Quealy & Co Estate Agents in Sittingbourne have certainly had a very busy summer and things aren’t looking like they are going to slow down anytime soon.

Rightmove has reported a 14% increase in new listings in the first two weeks of September, compared to the last two weeks in August. However, the number of properties available for sale remains low making competition between buyers very strong.

37% of properties sold for above their initial asking price in August, with an estimated 19 buyers per available property currently on the market.

With the demand from house hunters looking to buy a home in Kent still incredibly high, it is an excellent time to find out how much your property is worth. If you are looking to buy a home then it is recommended that you register with a trusted local estate agent like Quealy & Co to ensure you are the first to know of homes coming on the market before they hit Rightmove and competition becomes more fierce.
