Hitio Gym, a European chain of fitness centres, is looking to set down roots in Sittingbourne High Street in the former Argos premises between Wimpy and Lloyds Bank, subject to planning approval.
The gym will be the first UK branch of 30 to be opened by Hitio and will add to its portfolio of 33 branches already operating in mainland Europe.
The submitted planning application for change of use from retail to leisure highlights the attractiveness of the current Regeneration Project to business-owners, particularly in the leisure industry.
Having been derelict since closing in 2017, this is a welcomed arrival to Sittingbourne High Street and is hopefully a sign of positive change that's coming with the Regeneration Procect.
