Coronation Events In And Around Sittingbourne, Kent

 

The three-day bank holiday in honour of the King's coronation takes place between Saturday, May 6 and Monday, May 8. The team at Quealy & Co have been looking into where you can join in the celebrations in the Sittingbourne area over the long weekend!  

All the following events take place on Sunday 7^th May:

   

The King’s Coronation Big Lunch Picnic With Jazz – Rodmersham Village Green

The King's Coronation Big Lunch Picnic with Jazz (Bring your own chairs, blankets, food and drink) And best crown competition Rodmersham Green (Village Hall if wet and rainy) Sunday 7th May 2023 1pm to 3pm (Cakes and Hot Drinks available).

The Iwade Barn Food and Drink Festival is back, but this time with a Royal twist. Come join us for a right royal knees up!

Big Bredgar Lunch

12pm – 4pm Bredgar CE Primary School, Bexon Lane, Bredgar, Kent ME9 8HB

Bring a picnic and join us to celebrate the Coronation. In the church, school and village hall there will be many activities from bellringing, a history of Bredgar, stalls, a BBQ and cake stall where you can purchase food, a maypole demonstration, live music, choir singing, treasure hunt and you can purchase a drink at the bar in the village hall. We look forward to seeing you all.

St Nicholas Church’s Coronation Lunch

12pm – 3pm

Grounds of St Nicholas Church, High Street, Strood, Rochester, Kent ME2 4TR

People are invited to bring their own picnic to enjoy together after our 10:30am church service. Members of the community are welcome to join in. We will provide hot and cold drinks, cakes and snacks. Activities and games will be provided for children and adults to enjoy. If it is wet we have indoor options.
