Quealy & Co team raise money for CALM
Quealy & Co Estate Agents in Sittingbourne will be raising money for CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) throughout March.
The charity is close to the hearts of everyone at Quealy & Co. The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is leading a movement against suicide. Every week 125 people in the UK take their own lives. And 75% of all UK suicides are male. The last year of COVID restrictions and lockdowns have been particularly difficult for everyone’s mental health so the team at Quealy want to do something to support such a vital cause.
Walk or run from Lands End to John O Groats
With most of the team and their families signed up, the Quealy team will need to walk or run at least 1 mile per day to reach John O Groats from Lands End by their Easter Sunday target! The team have set up a page on the Strava App so they can track the distance they walk or run and encourage each other to push for the 874-mile target. If they reach John O Groats before Easter Sunday, they will turn round and run back… There’s no stopping them!
Easter Eggs are ready for those that walk or run the furthest and some extra challenges will be set throughout March to make things more competitive and interesting.
Support the Quealy team
We are delighted that Agents Giving have created a dedicated page for us. With Phil Spencer as patron, Agents Giving is the industry charity for the property industry and works with Estate and Letting Agents across the UK to encourage, support and promote their fundraising activities. View our dedicated page here.
You can follow us on Facebook and keep checking this blog to see our progress. We will be sharing our favourite walks and routes in the North Kent area throughout March too. We hope we can discover some new routes for you to enjoy!
Our fundraising target is £2000. You can support our fundraising efforts by donating any amount on the Just Giving Page: Team Quealy Lands End To John O Groats Walk/Run For CALM.
Any amount, big or small will be hugely appreciated and will help this fantastic charity to keep supporting those in mental health crisis and those who are bereaved by suicide in the UK.
We thank you in advance for your support. If you can’t donate money, then your messages of support are still hugely appreciated to push us through the challenge. You can also keep your fingers crossed for nice weather from now until Easter so our walks and runs are much more enjoyable!
